As the business events industry is evolving in response to new factors of business and economic growth brought about by today’s digital era, the industry has shifted from a “plug and play” model to purpose-driven ways of using data, algorithms and analytics to connect with people, companies and communities.
Customers are now demanding an effective “return on engagement” where they can derive maximum value in their participation of business events. This means that a meaningful customer experience can only be achieved through a well-designed interplay of onsite and online modes of engagement among the players and communities that a business event aims to serve.
SMF2019 has become THE choice platform for the regional MICE industry to gain new insights from luminaries in both our core and adjacent industries; exchange views and share experiences on how these new forces at play can enhance our business. In SMF 2018, SACEOS, together with the business events community, unveiled the “Asia Pacific Community Building Manifesto”: a recommendation of seven core elements of success for the business events industry of tomorrow. We remain committed to working closely with industry partners and global MICE associations to grow our respective development plans together in the spirit of this manifesto. (Download the Manifesto here).
This year in SMF 2019, our focus will be on putting the manifesto into action. SMF 2019’s theme is “Wired for The Future”. It promises a focused discussion on how design, digital and community engagement are becoming cornerstones for tomorrow’s business success. Practitioners will share and exchange views with participants on proven change-lifting ideas and how the industry can be wired for future success.
At SMF 2019, discover key opportunities for collaboration among global MICE associations and partners in line with the Manifesto. We would be pleased to work with you as an Association Partner and look forward to crafting a suitable proposal to meet your needs.
To participate as an Association Partner, please contact us for a non-obligatory discussion.
